This complete interior remodel of a landmark 19th century Queen Anne home is an excellent example of our design-build team approach to projects.  The stately home had been divided into six apartments and fallen victim to many poorly executed changes over the years.  Interestingly it did not have a grand stair, nor did its twin home on 1100 East in Salt Lake County.  During the as-built phase we documented both buildings, comparing floor plans in an attempt to locate a common location for the original stairway.  In addition to creating a new central staircase, our task was to remodel it as a single family residence for an aging couple.  All plumbing and electrical systems were replaced, and a new whole house evaporative cooling system was installed to save energy.  Numerous structural anomalies were identified and repaired, including complete roof modifications to accept an array of photovoltaic panels out of view from the street.
