SALT LAKE CITY AVENUES NEIGHBORHOOD
This project commenced as a garage addition and morphed into a wonderful transformation of the private areas of this Avenues home. The “found space” above the garage is nestled between two enormous shade trees and became a large outdoor living space akin to an adult tree house. Connecting the remodeled kitchen and family rooms to the garage and “tree house” is a carefully crafted “Sally Port” giving direct access to six different spaces on 4 levels. This is one of several of our projects featured in Preservation Utah’s booklet “Celebrating Compatible Design.”
